[Telegram] Alerts

This guide will help you create Moni Discover alerts from @moni_alerts_bot in Telegram.

Note: When you update a group to a supergroup, the ID changes. Update it in the Alerts form on discover.getmoni.io. Get the updated chat ID by sending the /chat_id command to the group.

How to set up Telegram Channel

Create a new channel or use an old one. It's important to be an administrator of the channel.

Invite @moni_alerts_bot to the channel and give admin rights:

• Go to channel info

• Administrators

• Add a new administrator @moni_alerts_bot (only the option to post to the channel is required)

Send the /chat_id command to the channel to get an ID

Some channel IDs contain a minus sign.

Copy the Chat ID value and paste it into the Telegram ID field in the Alerts form at discover.getmoni.io

How to set up a Telegram Group

Create a new group or use an existing one. It is important to be an administrator.

Invite @moni_alerts_bot to the group and give the bot admin rights

• Go to group info

• Press +Add

• Add a new member to @moni_alerts_bot
